A sacred process, untouched by time.

Our Story

Each Karma Patron bracelet is slow-crafted using DaQi — the ancient Chinese art of lacquerwork, known in Japan as Urushi.

This thousand-year-old craft begins with one of the world’s rarest natural materials: raw lacquer, a tree sap harvested by hand only once a year, drop by drop, from wild lacquer trees.

Over 60 days, each bead is coated, dried, polished, and purified — again and again — until its final pattern slowly emerges, never to be repeated.

No two are the same. Not even the maker can recreate it.

This is more than jewelry. It is a co-creation of time, hands, and stillness.

Where Time and Tradition Become Touchable
Where Time and Tradition Become Touchable
Load video: A traditional lacquer farmer climbs a tree using bamboo supports to harvest raw lacquer from a lacquer tree. Thick forest surrounds him as he carefully slices the bark, allowing precious sap to drip into a wooden container — a slow, ancient process that reflects the rarity and value of East Asian urushi lacquer.

One Tree. Three Years. A Handful of Lacquer.

Each lacquer tree must grow for 7 years. It can only be tapped once every 3 years — during a short summer window.

Just a small amount is collected, drop by drop, with care.

This is where every Karma Patron bracelet begins.
