In 2021, everything in our lives came crashing down. We lost our first child, my career disappeared with a single severance email, and even the smallest things felt cursed—8 nails in four tires, as if the universe was against us. I couldn’t see a way out.

Then, on an April night, my wife said, “Let’s go somewhere we can find peace.”

We traveled to Tibet, where the air seemed to heal us. A Tibetan elder gave us prayer beads and shared her wisdom: "When you feel lost, make something beautiful instead."

We discovered the beauty of red string bracelets, lacquer jewelry, sandalwood, and gemstones. These weren’t just accessories—they were symbols of strength, patience, and ancient wisdom. They reminded us that beauty and peace can emerge even from life’s hardest moments.

Returning home, we found calm and clarity. My anxiety faded, I found new work, and soon, my wife was pregnant again. It was a quiet, yet powerful comeback.
